Brief History:

The company, initially started by Mr. J. D. Desai, an entrepreneur with knowledge of magnets, was originally operating a business of manufacturing domestic water pumps. With Mr. Desai’s knowledge of permanent magnets, he self-developed a pump that was capable of pumping highly explosive or toxic liquids, “KWENG’s original Magnetic Drive Pump.” Under Mr. Desai’s leadership, Kweng Alloys Private Limited formally came into existence in the year 1997, which is presently known as KWENG MAGNADYNE PRIVATE LIMITED.

Awards: In November 2001, under the leadership of J. D. Desai, Kweng Alloys Private Limited was awarded a National Award for R&D efforts in the Mechanical Engineering Category by the Department of Scientific & Industrial Research, Ministry of Science & Technology, from the Government of India for developing, manufacturing & commercializing MAGNETIC DRIVE TECHNOLOGY.

Today the company is managed by the second generation, Mr. Pallava Desai, Director of Administration, an electrical engineering graduate leading the administrative operations, and Mr. Pankit Desai, Director, a mechanical engineering graduate leading the technical operations and business development. They have been functioning successfully and have managed to establish KWENG in various industrial segments globally.

Today, Kweng is a progressive company with an excellent design and R&D capability focused on assuring a strong position of leadership in magnetic drive technology. Kweng manufactures their products in a state-of-the-art facility with computer-aided manufacturing capability. Kweng maintains in-house product testing and R&D facilities. Kweng holds the distinction of being the sole Indian manufacturer and exporter of magnetic couplings and applied magnet products.
